Family Guy this past Sunday pulled out a classic bit from way back, that really old Sesame Street pinball counting sequence. It brought back all these memories I had locked away that I had forgotten were from Sesame Street. That show was really good, not like the stupid Barney type crap we have these days.
Here's the Family Guy clip, and the original Sesame Street clip. Enjoy!

pure awesomeness is all i can say
just thinking back makes you wonder, why did they change it all? all the new shows are so lame as they try to get rid of the prejudices/stereotypes and make the show politically correct.. but they are failing horribly
i prefered the crackheads on sesame street over the new shit any day!
If you read The Tipping Point it has this really interesting bit about how Sesame Street was created with the intention of being a really educationally show. And then decades later comes Blues Clues where they treat the show like a science. The creators regularly test new episodes on kids to see if they get too confused or not and they do things like show the same episode 5 days in a row because that way by the end the kids are really responding and following along with it.
